'How' To Increase Your Profits!
I’m always being asked…what’s the easiest and quickest way to increase my website sales and expand my approach on the Internet, with the possibility of doing it ALL at the same time?
Well there is only one answer to that question for me and that’s to start your very own associate program.
What is an associate program? An associate program is very often referred to as a ‘Affiliate Program’, which put simply is a program that allows others to sell your products/services, and receive a commission on each and every sale or click, they send to your product.
An ‘Affiliate Program’ fulfils both of the above criteria’s (1) it’s easy to implement (2) works like a Virus spreading throughout the Internet.
Just think of having a sales force that can grow as big as you would like... and you only pay them when and if they bring you a paying customer.
Make no mistake about ‘Affiliate Programs’ they have the power and tools, to help rapidly improve your online sales…’Dramatically’.
‘Affiliate Programs’ are very easy to set-up with the capability of being set-up in a variety of different ways, ranging from inexpensive to pricey; depending on the route you wish to take. The important thing is to pick the one that suits your needs and your budget.
First things first, what are your options for setting up your own program? Well in the end it does depend on how you see your product/service being offered to your customer.
Some people like the ‘Pay Per Click’ (PPC) option, crediting their associates a certain amount every time someone clicks through on their affiliate banners or links. But for me, the one that earns more fortunes than any other as to be…’Pay Per Sale’ (PPS).
I suggest that you consider this method first, because you have the capacity to offer your ‘Affiliates’ a greater payout.
This also offers you the advantage of only ever having to pay ‘out’ when someone clicks through and actually makes a purchase. The other great advantage to you and one that will help increase your profits too, you're not just paying for traffic, or a customer list, but for actual results…’sale’.
You basically have two options for setting up your own ‘Affiliate Program’ (1) to purchase your own software or (2) use a third party service.
I must admit, the nice thing about a third party service is they manage all the accounting issues for you, including click-tracking and sending your associates their commission checks, too. This takes a large load off of your shoulders allowing you more time to get on with more productive tasks... but this luxury doesn't come cheap.

1) Clicktrade.com: http://www.ClickTrade.com
Outsource your affiliate program to Click-Trade and they will take care of everything for you, from tracking, to paying your affiliates. Your program can be set up on a ‘Pay Per Lead’ (PPL) or ‘Pay Per Sales’ (PPS) basis.
2) Clickbank.com: http://www.ClickBank.com
ClickBank is now one of the largest online ‘Affiliation Programs’ on the Internet today. Clickbank was set-up so that anyone who wishes to sell information products online can easily set up an ‘Affiliate Program’ through their easy to use software. All ClickBank account are free, and to use their service you must first sign-up. When you sign-up, you will receive a special link for tracking your sales. They accept the payment for you by credit card, and the great part is you will only be charged a percentage of each sale…simple and easy.
3) Affiliate Shop: http://www.AffiliateShop.com
No software to be installed with this program, just cut and paste, a few lines of HTML code into your Website to get your program up and running. Some of the features include (PPC) & (PPS). You get complete control over decisions like who to accept or, which affiliates to reject, who wish to join and much more.
Software Options:
You will want to make sure whichever system you buy, offers you the ability to track real time stats. If you are going to be integrating it with your existing shopping cart, make sure they are compatible?

You can buy or lease their software, which runs on their server. Choose the basic package or add on their check paying and promotion modules. Simple templates are available to get you up and running quickly.
2) Affiliate Software: http://www.AffiliateSoftware.net
Pro-Track is inexpensive and easy to set up. Presently it only run on UNIX servers…a very powerful program, which as many options on offer.

You design the look and feel of this program, and how much you want to pay out. It offers a simple seamless integration with your website, with a very easy way to pay your affiliates, through their simple QuickBooks integration. You pay a set price for the software plus a small application-hosting fee.
4) Ground Break: http://www.GroundBreak.com
If you are any good at configuring CGI scripts you may want to look at downloading this script and doing it yourself.
GroundBreak can be set up to work on your server quickly; it presently only works on UNIX platform. It can easily be integrated with most Perl based shopping carts. This program can be set up to pay either (PPL) or (PPS).
As you now know, there are many options available for setting up your own associate Affiliate program, the possibilities are numerous. It will unfortunately, cost you time and money, but in the end you will be the owner of a very powerful system and a powerful sales force, which will extend your reach and wealth on the Internet.
Think of it in this way…if you where able to create 10 sales a week yourself with everything else you also have to do...just imagine what a sales force of 100 could do!!
Tip: whatever program you choose, make sure it’s easy to setup and is user friendly, so you don’t end up losing people before they even get started.
